Castle ruins, cave tours, and lake access — then come home to your own private lodge on 20 acres.
Shagbark Ridge Barn Lodge sits on 20 wooded acres near Versailles, Missouri — about 35 minutes from Camdenton. We sleep up to 40 guests across eight one-of-a-kind themed rooms, each with its own personality and private bath. Think a restored Chevy truck bed, a raft floating down river, or a cozy cabin with snowshoes on the wall.
The lodge comes with a commercial kitchen and banquet dining for 40, a lit multi-sport court, fire pit, game loft with foosball and ping pong, and acres of outdoor space to spread out. You get the whole place to yourselves.
Ha Ha Tonka State Park is the crown jewel. The ruins of a stone castle sit on a bluff 250 feet above the lake — it looks like something out of a storybook. The park has 15 miles of trails winding past a natural bridge, caves, sinkholes, and springs. It's one of the most photographed spots in Missouri, and it's free to visit.
Bridal Cave is another must-see near Camdenton. Guided tours take you through stunning formations — stalactites, stalagmites, and underground columns — in a cave that stays a cool 60 degrees year-round. Over 3,000 weddings have been held inside.
Camdenton is also your gateway to the southern arm of Lake of the Ozarks. Public boat ramps, marinas, and lakefront restaurants are all within easy reach. It's a quieter side of the lake compared to Osage Beach, which a lot of families prefer.
After a day of exploring castle ruins and cave formations, you're just 35 minutes from a hot meal in our commercial kitchen and a themed room that'll make you smile.
Ha Ha Tonka and Bridal Cave keep all ages entertained.
